What Is The Atlanta City Pass???

Atlanta City Pass is a booklet, also known as a coupon kit of admission tickets to 5 of Atlanta´s most incredible attractions with a 42% discount overall. Prices may vary, but for 2014 it remains as mentioned on this article.

These tickets are “Option Tickets”, meaning you have an option to use them in 5 of 7 different tourist attractions.

City Pass Duration

The coupons are valid for 9 days AFTER their first use (not since you buy it), so you have a week and a half to visit 5 attractions. That is one attraction visit every day and a half. The booklet expires 6 months from the day you buy it.

4 Reasons to buy Atlanta City Pass

1. VIP Waiting

2. Saves Money

3. Map and Guide Inluded

4. Optional Attractions

1. VIP waiting lines

It does not mean you can just enter without making a line, City Pass holders make a line with other City Pass Holders only and not with the overall public to the included attractions.

Georgia Aquarium VIdeo

Georgia Aquarium

Georgia Aquarium is the largest aquarium in the world and the only one that houses 3 whale sharks outside of Asia. Thousands of species can be found here:

  • Sea Turtles
  • Hammer Sharks
  • Albino Crocodiles
  • Huge Manta Rays

An underwater glass tuneel will create the illusion that fish are actually flying all around you! A trip to the Aquarium is as magical as in the video, but there is always a good side and a bad side to this wonderful place that you need to keep in mind.

World of Coca-Cola Tour

Have you been to a Disney World attraction and seen the waiting line sign that says “45 minutes” and then actually waiting longer than that? Some of Atlanta´s attractions are so popular, like World of Coca Cola and the Georgia Aquarium, that lines take a long time before you can get the tour. There is actually two long lines you need to make before entering any of these attractions, the ticket booth line and the entrance line each take longer than 1 hour.

City Pass grants you the preferential treatment by waiting in line with City Pass holders only, plus it avoids the ticket line. After the ticket discount, this is the most praised feature of Atlanta´s City Pass. It is also the most complained about on certain seasons of the year since Atlanta Pass City holders are too many. During vacationing season, the VIP lines can still be a long wait depending on the time of year.

There are a couple of travel planning tips you need to take in order to enjoy your holidays in Atlanta.

2. Saves Money

You can save up to 42% of the normal ticket price on the 5 attractions. That is $53 dollars per adult and $46 dollars per child. That alone is reason enough to get the pass for you and your kid, but how much do you save if you go with a family of 5?
